We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Kona Grill - Oak Brook. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items to order, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and meet customer expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the restaurant.
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-casual or casual dining setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and respectfully with colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly and safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
