We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at a small school community in Norristown, PA. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders and a Pennsylvania SLP license.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new referrals on their communication abilities and determine student eligibility for speech services
- Develop Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, and make recommendations for speech services
- Re-evaluate students on a periodic basis, and updating IEP goals if needed
- Conduct meetings and complete reports as part of the referral or dismissal process for speech students
- Document services, service logs, treatment notes, and track student progress with a mix of observations or testing data
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Pennsylvania SLP license
- Education certificate (from the Pennsylvania Department of Education) is highly recommended
Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organization, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a manner consistent with department guidelines
- Flexibility and the ability to foster a collegial work environment
