Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join its team at the Memphis, TN facility. As an E&I Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems, including DCS, PLC, and HMI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation systems, including DCS, PLC, and HMI systems
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Install and replace electrical and instrumentation components, including motors, control valves, and electrical distribution switchgear
- Operate HV switches and troubleshoot production process problems using DCS, PLC, and process data software
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician or E&I Technician
- NFPA 70E training
- Experience operating mobile equipment, such as forklifts and utility carts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Journeyman Electrician or E&I Technician in a pulp and paper mill
- Experience in a preventive, predictive, planned, and scheduled maintenance environment
