Patient Care Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join the patient care team at Carilion Clinic, a renowned healthcare organization committed to clinical excellence. As a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Responsibilities will include taking vital signs, assisting with bathing, meals, and toileting, as well as transporting patients and supplies within the facility. You will also be responsible for documenting patient observations and reporting any concerns to licensed staff.
Requirements:- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Close attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (CPR) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Certified Nursing Assistant license preferred

Please note that this is a full-time position, working weekends only, with a shift of 7a-7p on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Successful candidates must be able to attend required orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 2 weeks.
