About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary School Lead Teacher to join our team at Achievement Prep Public Charter Schools. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a critical role in closing the achievement gap and providing a high-quality education to our elementary scholars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English Language Arts or Math to two groups of scholars daily
  • Implement a research-based curriculum and personalize instruction for scholars with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Create assessments and use data to ensure mastery of standards
  • Cultivate a joyful and consistent classroom culture
  • Collaborate with peers to set data-driven academic goals
  • Engage with scholars and families to build trust and rapport
  • Support family events and communicate scholar progress
  • Continuously improve your teaching practice through professional development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Teaching license or passing Praxis scores (if not an education major)
  • 2+ years of K-12 teaching experience
  • Experience in underserved communities
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education
  • Teacher leadership experience (grade level lead, department chair, mentor teacher, etc.)
