Job Description

Civil/Structural Project Engineer

Job Summary

CEC is seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Project Engineer to join our Transportation Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop feasible engineering design alternatives to meet project requirements
  • Perform structural calculations, modeling, analysis, and design
  • Utilize computer software to create detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts
  • Prepare contract documents, including technical reports, studies, plans, specifications, and permitting
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and technicians on project activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Three or more years of progressive experience in engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience with structural detailing in AutoCAD and MicroStation software preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
