Role Summary:
The Senior Vice President of Sales will oversee the management and performance of a seasoned sales team within the Informa Foodservice Media and Events division, focusing on enhancing revenue generation. This position entails comprehensive sales and revenue management for various media brands, along with collaborative oversight of curated events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 8 to 10 sales professionals, ensuring optimal productivity and performance.
  • Establish and align sales goals with the financial objectives of the Foodservice Group, actively collaborating with sales teams to bolster their efforts.
  • Oversee sales pipelines and databases, developing essential sales and sponsorship resources for core Foodservice offerings.
  • Ensure proper structuring and balancing of accounts and territories in alignment with the Foodservice Group's overarching strategy.
  • Foster a client-centric and solutions-oriented sales culture, moving away from a purely product-driven approach.
  • Determine pricing strategies for media and research offerings.
  • Collaborate with the head of event sales to implement integrated solution strategies.
  • Set compensation structures, commission levels, and incentives for the media sales team.
  • Co-manage key accounts with recurring revenues.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience in managing sales teams, preferably in the media or events sector.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in media and/or event sales.
  • Experience in the Foodservice and Grocery sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding a team of experienced sales professionals.
  • Proven track record of driving the sales process from initiation to completion.
  • Strong negotiation, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of aligning sales activities with upper management and broader business strategies.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, attending industry events and meeting clients.
