Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the implementation and operation of existing programs, including outreach and programming for high school, undergraduate, and post-graduate students.
  • Develop and implement new programming to meet community and workforce needs, in collaboration with HSRR leadership and UNMHSC programs.
  • Collaborate with community members, UNMHSC programs, and other stakeholders to build relationships and advance the mission of the University of New Mexico.
  • Contribute to the development of creative new programs to support the academic and professional growth of students.
  • Assist leadership in drafting grant applications and managing grant programs, including reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Experience and comfort working with high school youth and college students interested in healthcare careers.
  • Familiarity with the processes involved in applying to academic health programs.
  • Experience and ability to manage pre-health programs.
  • Knowledge of health careers and the pathways to the careers.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Experience building collaborations for the purpose of developing and implementing programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and skills in mentoring.
  • Ability to successfully work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge in data collection and analysis of program effectiveness.
