The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Education and Development Manager to oversee the pre-health pipeline and pathway operations of the Health Sciences Center Rio Rancho Campus. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative programs that support the academic and professional growth of high school, undergraduate, and post-graduate students.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the implementation and operation of existing programs, including outreach and programming for high school, undergraduate, and post-graduate students.
- Develop and implement new programming to meet community and workforce needs, in collaboration with HSRR leadership and UNMHSC programs.
- Collaborate with community members, UNMHSC programs, and other stakeholders to build relationships and advance the mission of the University of New Mexico.
- Contribute to the development of creative new programs to support the academic and professional growth of students.
- Assist leadership in drafting grant applications and managing grant programs, including reporting requirements.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Experience and comfort working with high school youth and college students interested in healthcare careers.
- Familiarity with the processes involved in applying to academic health programs.
- Experience and ability to manage pre-health programs.
- Knowledge of health careers and the pathways to the careers.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Experience building collaborations for the purpose of developing and implementing programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and skills in mentoring.
- Ability to successfully work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge in data collection and analysis of program effectiveness.

EligibilityThis position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and is open to candidates who are eligible for remote work.
