We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Repair Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading foodservice company, where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles.

As a Heavy-Duty Mechanic Specialist, you will troubleshoot and diagnose issues with our equipment, ensuring that it operates efficiently and safely.

Our ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in commercial diesel mechanics or refrigeration certification.

You must be able to work independently, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and reefers
  • Perform preventative maintenance within company standards
  • Document all repair activities and maintain accurate records
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue as needed
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial diesel mechanics or refrigeration certification
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
