Deli Department Manager

As a Deli Department Manager at Restaurant Depot, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our entire cold area, including the deli, meat, produce, and freezer. This is a salaried position with a starting salary between $40,000 and $45,000/year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper customer service and develop relationships with large customers.
- Supervise and work together with the Deli Supervisor (if applicable) and Stocker/s to ensure shelves are stocked and merchandise is rotated.
- Assist in developing schedules, monitor performance, and recommend discipline as appropriate.
- Train employees in job responsibilities and safe operating procedures.
- Conduct HACCP audits and ensure employees are performing proper inspections.
- Review inventory for product rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages.
- Ensure shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing and market conditions.
- Supervise the receiving of deli products and ensure proper paperwork is completed.
- Maintain accurate computer inventory levels.
- Maintain refrigerated equipment and ensure maintenance contracts are followed.
- Supervise the ordering of deli products from vendors to ensure competitive pricing and minimal shrink.
- Ensure employees can operate equipment such as the Toledo scale and Dennison label machine.
- Coordinate the use of pallets in the racks with proper block and date tags.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the area through regular maintenance schedules.
Requirements
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Can lift 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 18+ years old.
