Mail and Print Support Specialist

Job Summary
The Mail and Print Associate is responsible for delivering all items, including letters, packages, and specimens, as well as printing and photocopying documents as needed for various departments within the Hackensack Meridian Health campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain control over the Medical Center's in-house printing, mailing, materials, job inventory, and replenishment to fulfill the needs of Medical Center departments.
- Complete requested work within established standards, including interoffice, email, tube down, phone calls, fax, and walk-ins.
- Answer phone calls and assist callers by providing information, completing tasks, or taking messages for departments.
- Perform print jobs within a 3-day window for completion and prioritize rush jobs.
- Conduct bindery work, cutting, laminating, booklet making, padding, and folding tasks as assigned.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, specimens, and FedEx within established standards.
- Transport specimens to and from HackensackUMC to other facilities.
- Ensure all Board of Governors mailings are delivered by Medical Center couriers to the correct location and on time.
- Accurately complete all mail and print tasks daily and log them on a daily log sheet.
- Record all Federal Express letters and deliver them to designated areas within established standards.
- Manage the automated mail processing and secure the postage meter at all times.
- Record all outgoing Federal Express letters in the computer.
- Perform delivery and pickups at off-campus locations.
- Perform all other physical requirements of the job as defined by the department director.
- Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
- Comply with all Post Office regulations and HackensackUMC regulations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Mail, Printing, or Customer Service Environment.
- Computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some College preferred.
- Prior computer training or experience is desirable.
- Experience working in the healthcare environment.
- Bilingual.
Licenses and Certifications Required
- Valid Driver's License from a USA state or NJ Commercial Drivers License.
