About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Integrated Case Management Specialist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Care Coordination department, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Care Coordinators to verify inpatient insurance coverage, pre-certs, and authorized days
  • Utilize EPIC computer software to retrieve necessary information and support case management and utilization review processes
  • Work with payors to obtain authorizations and resolve denials
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Perform daily log reconciliation and enter LAD into EPIC
  • Assist with office support services, including phone call management, messages, and mail/correspondence
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance work efficiency and meet departmental goals
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a hospital or medical setting
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient computer, word-processing, and Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to learn new computer systems, including EPIC and INDICIA
