Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental setting and be certified in x-ray procedures in the state of Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for the dentist.
  • Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning them for the dentist's access, and suctioning as needed.
  • Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing them on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
  • Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
  • Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
  • Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements

Required Skills:

  • X-ray certification in the state of Georgia
  • Experience working as a Dental Assistant
