* Provide professional nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.

* Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.

* Direct and supervise the activities of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and other support staff.

* Participate in educational programs and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in obstetric nursing.

* Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent patient care and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

* Current RN license in the state of Arkansas.

* BLS certification.

* Neonatal resuscitation and ACLS certification with 8-hour OB modification.

* AWHONN fetal monitoring class completion within 6 months.

* S.T.A.B.L.E. course completion within 1 year.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

* Knowledge of childbearing women and newborns.

* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in nursing.

* Inpatient obstetrical national certification.

* Completion of a 20-hour BFHI course within 6 months, including 5 hours of clinical competency with an IBCLC.

* Completion of 3 hours of ongoing education each year on human lactation and skills competencies in infant feeding.

Work Environment:

* The Labor and Delivery Nurse will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.

* The nurse will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and move quickly in response to emergencies.

* The nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

* The nurse will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
