Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

At Merit Health Biloxi, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide care based on identified needs and physician orders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members to facilitate the delivery of care and ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on various aspects of care, including pain management, labor support, and postpartum care.
  • Work effectively with medical staff, other healthcare professionals, and administrative personnel to ensure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse required.
  • Current MS RN license and BLS certification required.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's preferred.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
