Family Medicine Physician

Position Summary: This role involves providing comprehensive medical care under the guidance of the supervising physician at the designated Primary Care Clinic.
Eligibility:
- Open to U.S. Citizens and Nationals.
- Deliver a wide array of medical services to diverse patient demographics in an outpatient environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medical practice.
- Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatments across various medical fields including internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, outpatient surgery, orthopedics, dermatology, psychiatry, and preventive care.
- Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests to manage common health conditions effectively.
- Contribute to the training and education of military and civilian healthcare personnel.
- Appointment may require a suitability assessment based on a thorough background check.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment protocols is mandatory.
- Immunization verification is essential, particularly for Hepatitis B for roles involving direct patient interaction.
- Must be residency trained and either board certified or board eligible in a primary care specialty.
- Background checks will be conducted to ensure suitability for positions involving regular contact with children.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, candidates must meet the educational and experiential prerequisites outlined below. Relevant experience includes both paid and volunteer work, including service in national programs.
Basic Requirements for Family Medicine Physician:
Education: A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. or Canada. Foreign degrees must demonstrate equivalency to U.S. standards through recognized certification.
Licensure: A valid, unrestricted medical license from a U.S. state or territory is required.
Graduate Training: Candidates must have completed at least one year of supervised clinical experience post-medical degree, such as an internship or the first year of residency. Additionally, successful completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine is required, along with equivalent experience totaling at least three years.
