Since its inception, Salud has focused on establishing a Medical Home for patients, where a multidisciplinary team comprising medical, dental, and behavioral health professionals collaborates to enhance patient care. Position Overview

Salud Family Health Centers, in collaboration with the University of Colorado Morgan County Rural Training Track, is in search of a Family Physician to deliver comprehensive medical services to a diverse patient demographic, spanning all age groups, including pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, and obstetric patients. The selected candidate will also engage in the education of 2nd- and 3rd-year family medicine residents and medical students.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual Salary Range: $230,000 to $264,800
  • Sign-on Bonus: $20,000
  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000
  • Work Schedule: 4-day work week
  • Potential for Student Loan Repayment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to adult and pediatric patients within an FQHC environment, serving one of Colorado's most diverse communities.
  • Opportunity to offer prenatal care, with mentorship available.
  • Engage in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and various outpatient procedures, with ample procedural opportunities.
  • Participate in pediatric calls at a local hospital, with designated time for inpatient rounding.
  • Instruct and supervise residents and medical students, including advising and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate within an integrated care model that includes dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health services.
  • Access to the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine for research and faculty development opportunities.
  • Engagement in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school.

Licensure Requirements:

  • Active medical license in good standing in the State of Colorado.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine.
  • Eligibility for J1 visa waiver documentation, with board certification required in family medicine.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of low-income and ethnic minority communities.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
