Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Medical Director to provide strategic clinical expertise and guidance to our Partner Success & Research team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of our data and analyses through clinical validation and expert consulting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Clinical Guidance: Provide clinical expertise and knowledge of healthcare workflows to support our Partner team and clients as they utilize our platform for their research use cases.
  • Clinical Project Development: Collaborate with clients to establish and negotiate needs for free text extraction and term normalization, leveraging best practices in clinical informatics and standard coding systems like SNOMED, LOINC, and RxNorm.
  • Partner Success: Work closely with the Partner Success team on the early development of projects, providing independent thought and initiative with the aim of leading the development of more advanced projects, presentations, and reports.
  • Clinical Data Delivery: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of contractually committed, clinically valid data and provide clinical guidance regarding internally developed models.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to oversee development and advancement of new client opportunities.
Requirements
  • MD/DO Degree: Minimum 4+ years of clinical or biotech/pharma industry experience.
  • Statistical Programming: 3+ years of hands-on experience with R and/or Python.
  • SQL Experience: 3+ years of experience with SQL.
  • Electronic Health Record Data: 3+ years of experience analyzing Electronic Health Record data or other Real World Data sources in healthcare.
  • Client Collaboration: Proven ability to partner and collaborate with clients on their research needs.
  • Publication Experience: Experience with the peer-review publication process and comfort leading submissions.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to get hands dirty and jump in on challenges as they arise.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new analytical approaches.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Start-up Experience: Previous experience working in a start-up environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Applied Epidemiology: Applied epidemiological experience with MPH or equivalent.
  • Clinical Informatics: Training and previous application in clinical informatics.
  • SAS Experience: 3+ years of experience with SAS.
