JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Project Manager

  • We are seeking a qualified individual with a minimum of five years of relevant experience to fill the role of Assistant Project Manager. This position entails overseeing civil construction, process systems, remediation, and water treatment/wastewater projects, which includes responsibilities such as project estimation, initiation, daily management, and finalization.

COMPENSATION: The salary for this role will be based on the candidate's experience and the complexity of the projects undertaken.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years of construction experience is essential, with hands-on expertise in heavy civil work, process systems, remediation, and water treatment/wastewater projects.
  • This position requires presence in the field and the office, with occasional travel to support projects in various states.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing is mandatory.
  • Candidates should be willing to engage in fieldwork and apply practical knowledge gained from previous roles while being open to learning new skills.
  • References confirming prior experience must be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and comfortable with fieldwork, demonstrating a willingness to learn through practical experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with an entrepreneurial mindset and a solid work ethic.
  • This role involves a mix of field and office responsibilities, working closely with senior team members to support project estimation, management, and completion.
  • Responsibilities include managing individual projects, liaising with clients and superintendents, and producing technical documentation.
  • Other tasks encompass preparing submittals, schedules, bids, estimates, daily logs, procurement, and subcontractor oversight.
  • The goal is to develop into a proficient project manager who is technically adept and understands the challenges of construction work.
  • Travel to surrounding states may be required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil or mechanical, or Construction Management is required; other degrees may be considered with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in civil or mechanical projects is required, with verification of experience.
  • Experience with Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of remediation, wastewater, or process systems is a plus.
  • Additional certifications such as an AZ wastewater operator license or Professional Engineer (PE) designation are advantageous.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Standard office hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday; field hours are 7 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
