Emergency Department Technician

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As an Emergency Department Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical staff in the emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient care tasks as directed by nursing and medical staff, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
Assist with patient transport, including wheelchairs and carts, and transport blood products, medications, x-rays, and medical supplies as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized environment, including patient care areas and utility rooms, and ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available for patient care.
Collaborate with peers to ensure adequate coverage in the ED throughout the shift, and assist with clerical functions such as telephone and basic order entry as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Current CPR certification and ability to use keyboard and see computer screen required.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment as needed.
