Job Summary

As an OB Technician at Advocate Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our obstetric patients. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides personal care to patients, including bathing, oral and denture care, shaving, back rubs, and skin care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including positioning, ambulation, and special transferring needs.
• Responds to patient calls and requests, or refers them to the appropriate person.
• Maintains patient rooms and other patient/staff areas, including cleaning and preparing equipment for sterilization.
• Processes therapeutic and diagnostic orders, including transcribing orders and notifying the patient care team and ancillary departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and rotate shifts to provide coverage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
