Job Description
This position involves railcar inspection, maintenance, and preparation for loading operations in accordance with FRA and AAR Regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting railcars to identify defects and completing repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR guidelines
- Performing physical labor and using mechanical skills to accomplish tasks
- Using hand tools, power tools, cutting torch, welding equipment, and job-specific gauges
- Maintaining a safe work environment by following company rules and guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid driver's license
- No prior experience is required; training will be provided
- Welding experience is preferred
Work Environment
You will regularly be exposed to outside weather conditions and elements, noise, and fumes from gas, oil, and grease.
Schedule
This position requires weekend work, but we offer a regular Monday-to-Friday schedule during the week.
