Oakbrook Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Residential Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee daily maintenance operations at our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing repair/replacement processes, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the overall quality of our facilities.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who can lead by example, prioritize tasks efficiently, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Manage repair/replacement processes on HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, plumbing systems, electrical systems, appliances, and pool control systems\
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, assign tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures\
  • Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency\
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex maintenance issues and identify opportunities for improvement\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements\
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, building owners, and stakeholders to address concerns and provide solutions\
  • Average Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience\
  • This position requires a high level of expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision\

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in residential property maintenance or a related field\
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, carpentry, painting, vendors, parts, and services\
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills\
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines\
  • Valid driver's license and personal hand tools required\
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Vocation or trade school certifications preferred\
