Job SummaryAt Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll and accounts payable processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accuracy of bi-weekly time sheets and process payroll adjustments in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and communicate monthly payroll entries, reconciling all payroll and related balance sheet general ledger accounts.
  • Code, journalize, and process invoices, petty cash, debit and credit card transactions for payments, verifying documentation for accuracy.
  • Process payments made to vendors, including check printing and processing, and monitor the A/P aging report to ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate and complete monthly A/P process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and special reporting.
  • Assist with foster parent payments, including review of data entry and processing of ACH transactions and maintenance of FP direct deposit information.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable to sub-ledgers accounts monthly.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with experience in payroll and accounts payable processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
