Job Description

Resideo is seeking a skilled Electrical Hardware Engineer to design and develop thermostats and other smart home IoT products. The ideal candidate will have experience with microcontroller and microprocessor designs, digital circuits, and RF experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or participate in NPI project hardware design, including schematic design, PCB layout, BOM release, prototype build, debugging, engineering testing, and QA & Agency support.
  • Develop PCB layouts, collaborate with mechanical engineers, and floor-plan circuits and the size of a new PCB.
  • Lead and direct test technicians in performing testing, collecting data, and validating electrical designs.
  • Engage in conference meetings with global teams to coordinate project progress.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of designs, processes, and test results.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Major in EE or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware design projects, including schematic design, PCB layout, system debugging, and testing.
  • Familiarity with one or more ECAD tools such as Mentor, Cadence, Altium, etc.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and motivation for routine tasks, with a strong inclination towards continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines effectively.
