Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team in designing and developing thermostats and other related smart home IoT products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with microcontroller and microprocessor designs, digital circuits, and some RF experience.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the entire NPI (New Product Introduction) design process, from researching new technology, developing proof-of-concepts, creating schematics, building prototypes, testing, validating, and launching products into high-volume mass production.
  • Develop PCB layouts, collaborate with mechanical engineers and floor-plan circuits and the size of a new PCB, understand and help improve PCB DFM rules.
  • Lead and direct test technicians in performing testing, collecting data, and validating electrical designs.
  • Engage in conference meetings with global teams, including project leaders and cross-functional teams, to coordinate project progress.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of designs, processes, and test results to maintain clear communication and traceability.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Major in EE or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware design projects, including schematic design, PCB layout, system debugging, and testing.
  • Familiarity with one or more ECAD tool such as Mentor, Cadence, Altium, etc.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and motivation for routine tasks, with a strong inclination towards continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines effectively.
