Medical Science Liaison

Ardelyx is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our GI Medical Affairs Team. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a field-based extension of Ardelyx, representing the company and building long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders within the GI community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders to foster company, disease state, and therapeutic awareness.
- Provide medical information and scientific exchange to external and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate, unbiased, and timely responses to unsolicited requests for information.
- Establish and manage collaborative relationships with local, national, and regional medical/scientific leaders/investigators to identify and address scientific needs.
- Support data generation activities, including Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), and participate in key medical and scientific conferences.
- Stay up-to-date with medical and scientific developments in the assigned therapeutic area and actively participate in advisory boards and company meetings.
- Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, etc.) in biological sciences or Advanced Medical/Scientific degree (NP, PA) with combined clinical expertise.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience and/or 2 years of clinical expertise within gastroenterology/IBS-C.
- Ability to apply technical expertise and solutions to diverse/individualized situations, with critical data analysis skills and excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements, as well as the PhRMA Code, including regulations governing compliant scientific exchange.
- Ability to travel, locally and regionally, as requested/required, with a valid driver's license.
Ardelyx offers a competitive compensation package, including an annualized base pay range of $165,000-$181,500, with opportunities for bonus and equity awards. Our benefits package includes a 401(k) plan with generous employer match, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, and a robust health plan.
