About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Allay Home and Hospice. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personalized support to patients in their homes, promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as assigned by the patient's care plan.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, as needed.
  • Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the Case Manager.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks, as assigned.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the hospice team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Meet the training requirements of the State.
  • Completed a minimum of seventy-five hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
  • Minimum of six months experience in providing personal care.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  • Understands hospice philosophy and is comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
