About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Cake Decorator to join our team at Sam's Club. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods that meet the high standards of our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of bakery productions, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert Baker: Plan and execute bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, following recipe measurement instructions, and working with a variety of products to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
  • Be a Tech-Savvy Baker: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
  • Be a Performance Driver: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks and assisting in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
  • Comply with Company Policies: Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
