Job Description:

Mars Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled System Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for assigned equipment, ensuring all associated documentation is up-to-date in SAP and Weever.
  • Coordinate and execute PMs on schedule, supporting kitting for planned and PM work.
  • Identify recurring problems and develop effective solutions to reduce unplanned maintenance.
  • Train Shift Technicians in equipment maintenance and keep them informed about modifications.
  • Support Shift Technicians in tackling complex work orders.
  • Apply predictive maintenance technologies and implement condition-based monitoring systems.
  • Participate in system reliability improvement efforts and collaborate with Project Engineers on new system design.
  • Contribute to the administration of the Maintenance Department through effective use of SAP, Weever, and Microsoft apps, as well as involvement in safety, housekeeping, and Best Practice initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in plant operations, including significant knowledge of instrumentation and controls.
  • Experience in maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical/Electronics installation, repair, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge of precision instrumentation installation, repair, and calibration.
  • Programmable Logic Controller installation, troubleshooting, and software programming experience.
  • Electronic test equipment operation experience.
  • Repair, replace, and setup of fiber optic devices and cabling.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their controls.
  • Operation, repair, and programming of robotic equipment.
  • Machining skills, including operation of milling machines and lathes.
  • Steel fabrication and repair.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Thermal processing instruments and controls.
  • Proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Confined space entry training.
  • Working at heights training.
  • Forklift operation training and certification.
  • FDA Better Process Control certification.
  • Most recent Performance rating of "Meets Expectations" or higher and not more than 1 year old.
  • No active caution notices.
  • Acceptable attendance.
