Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for all cybersecurity and information technology aspects of the assigned program.
  • Engage in high-level system architecture design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Convert military operational and mission requirements across various domains into practical systems concepts and performance specifications.
  • Participate in post-award program reviews, design assessments, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the cybersecurity engineering specialist.
  • Assess design efforts from a cybersecurity perspective to ensure comprehensive integration of necessary cybersecurity products and thorough analyses.
  • Develop and review cybersecurity-related test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, including both Government and contractor tests.
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance against cybersecurity specifications, assessing risks related to user requirements.
  • Formulate and assess cybersecurity strategies for requested programs.
  • Conduct security analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments.
  • Oversee daily certification and accreditation activities for the project team.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience and recognition within the cybersecurity community, leading efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight.
  • Provide consultation and mentorship to team members on cybersecurity matters.
  • Review cybersecurity products, procedures, and system architectures from previous programs, establishing innovative cybersecurity strategies.
  • Identify issues and present potential solutions to the Project Manager, along with their implications.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience in operational Cyber Security accreditation and certification of embedded systems at the Secret level and below.
  • In-depth understanding of AR 25-2 and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), with recent experience in obtaining system accreditation using the DoD RMF and eMASS software.
  • Proven experience in preparing IA approval documentation and understanding systems engineering processes, along with extensive experience in Network Security Architecture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD standards that guide the development of cybersecurity policies, requirements, integration, engineering, and certification processes.

Required Clearance:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret. US Citizenship is necessary to obtain a Secret Government Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant work experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Security+ Certification.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday. Flexibility around core hours is available, and travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
