Position Summary:


Oversee and guide a team of Accountants in the accurate preparation, assessment, and modification of monthly Financial Reports for designated Condominium and/or Homeowners Associations. This role adheres to statutory obligations and aligns with the established policies and procedures of the department, ensuring all contractual deadlines are consistently met.

Collaborate with the Financial Reporting Leadership Team to uphold compliance with accounting standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:


Manage the daily operations of the assigned team, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures. Review financial reports and related outputs to maintain departmental quality standards.

Prioritize timeliness and ensure deadlines are achieved. Engage in effective communication with team members, peers, leadership, and operational teams to consistently meet client expectations.
Monitor, evaluate, and provide feedback on accountants' work, ensuring quality control of all transactions executed by team members.
Guide and assist in the identification and resolution of internal and external issues and concerns. Ensure that outstanding items from previous months are addressed. Follow up on and work towards resolving any outstanding items within financial reports.
Promptly communicate potential issues that may impact the accuracy of financial reports.

Deliver ongoing training to ensure all team members are informed of and comply with company, governmental, and client regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and deadlines.

Track and communicate performance goals for both individuals and the department.
Assist independent CPA audit firms during their audits and reviews of associations, whether year-end, turnover, or periodic audits/reviews. Analyze and post year-end audit adjusting entries.
Provide ad-hoc reporting as required by researching and interpreting data to address accounting and financial inquiries.

Support Property Managers, Regional Directors, and Field support on accounting matters related to the assigned portfolio by responding to requests in a timely manner.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution, with a minimum of five years of experience in general ledger accounting. Supervisory experience is advantageous; CAM license and CPA certification are preferred. Previous experience in property management, real estate, and/or residential management is desirable.
Demonstrated critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational, motivational, leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
Possess a robust work ethic and be detail-focused with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

Proficient in Excel and experienced with Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
Capable of meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure.
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently and demonstrate self-motivation.

Supervision:
Oversee a team of assigned accountants.

Travel Requirements:
This position involves minimal to no travel.
