Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor is a critical role in our organization, responsible for providing guidance, support, and supervision to Peer Support Specialists. This position requires a strong understanding of recovery principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and consultation to Peer Support Specialists to promote recovery, self-advocacy, and self-direction.
- Assist in the development of psychiatric advance directives and behavioral and substance abuse treatment interventions.
- Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal actions to encourage wellness and resilience.
- Participate in the initial Person-Centered Plan and its ongoing revisions, ensuring the implementation of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) if QP status.
- Support and empower individuals to exercise their legal rights within the community.
- Represent the company in a positive manner, reflective of the company's mission, at all times.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding sensitive and protected information.
- Maintain required records, such as documentation of progress notes, and ensure timely and accurate compliance with the medical records according to the record service manual.
- Accurately document all billable encounters into Southeastern Integrated Care's EMR system within 24 hours.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a 4-year degree in a Human Services field.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the population served.
- Certified Peer Support Specialist (preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have North Carolina Peer Support Certification, current certification must be maintained.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
