Position Overview:

Summary:

The Cabinet Fabrication Specialist is responsible for producing a diverse range of products, including cabinets and countertops, utilizing various materials such as wood, veneers, laminates, and solid surface materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets detailed architectural plans, schematics, and blueprints
  • Prepares and calibrates machinery and tools for woodworking tasks
  • Ensures products comply with industry standards and project specifications, making necessary adjustments
  • Checks dimensions and quality of components to confirm adherence to specifications
  • Measures completed products to verify compliance with specifications
  • Assembles components from plastic laminate and solid surface materials for cabinetry and countertops
  • Operates all tools and machinery within the cabinet shop
  • Possesses knowledge of various joinery techniques and applies them effectively
  • Installs hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks using hand tools
  • Attaches decorative or functional elements to products
  • Applies protective or decorative finishes to assembled items, including stains and varnishes
  • May have opportunities to work on company job sites as needed
  • Follows safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Relevant education or a combination of experience and training that equips the candidate with the necessary skills for the role
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • At least five (5) years of experience in cabinetry or countertop fabrication
  • Experience with CNC routers and edgebanders is preferred
  • Willingness to travel to job sites, including potential overnight stays
  • Must complete training and/or certification before operating equipment
  • Ability to maintain a reliable attendance schedule
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills
