Position Overview:

Summary:

The Cabinet Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for producing a diverse range of items including cabinets and countertops, utilizing various materials such as wood, veneers, laminates, and solid surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets detailed architectural plans, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Prepares and configures machinery and tools for woodworking tasks.
  • Ensures products comply with industry standards and project requirements, making necessary adjustments.
  • Checks dimensions and quality of components to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Measures completed products to confirm adherence to design specifications.
  • Fabricates or assembles components using plastic laminate and solid surface materials for cabinetry.
  • Operates all tools and machinery within the cabinet shop.
  • Possesses knowledge of various joinery techniques and applies them effectively.
  • Installs hardware such as hinges and handles using hand tools.
  • Attaches both decorative and functional accessories to products.
  • Applies protective or decorative finishes to assembled items using various methods.
  • May have opportunities to work on job sites as required.
  • Follows safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Relevant education or a combination of experience and training that equips the candidate with the necessary skills for the role.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in cabinetry or countertop fabrication is preferred.
  • Experience with CNC routers and edgebanders is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites, including potential overnight stays.
  • Required to obtain training and/or certification prior to operating any machinery.
  • Ability to maintain a reliable attendance schedule.
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with the capability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
