pThe Family Services Coordinator - Center is a key role within Lutheran Social Services of New York, responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the Family and Community Partnership service area./ppThis position involves developing and implementing Individualized Family Partnership agreements with parents, conducting visits to the homes of the families, and providing direct services to families./ppThe Family Services Coordinator - Center also acts as a community liaison for the Early LIFE Pre-school, fostering strong relationships with local organizations and resources./ppstrongKey Responsibilities:/strong/pulliOrganize and facilitate meetings and training sessions with parents, ensuring effective communication and collaboration./liliConduct home visits to each enrolled family, providing support and guidance as needed./liliDevelop individualized plans with families, setting short- and long-term goals and methods for achieving them./liliRepresent the agency in community boards, councils, and advisory groups, promoting the organization's mission and values./liliParticipate in classroom and Parent Committee meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration./liliProvide training to parent representatives, empowering them to take an active role in their child's education./liliAttend grantee pre-service training, participate in delegate pre-service training, and maintain ongoing efforts for professional development./liliMaintain accurate and up-to-date family files and records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations./liliIdentify and establish cooperative relationships with community resources and services, promoting the well-being of families served by the Pre-school./liliAdvocate for Head Start families, promoting their ability to advocate for themselves and their children./liliEnsure the delivery of social services, emergency and non-emergency services, directly or through referrals./li/ulpstrongRequirements:/strong/pulliBachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field./liliOne year of experience working with children and families in a social service or educational setting./liliBilingual in Spanish a plus./liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills./liliAble to be an active and involved member of the school program./liliStrong time management skills; able to handle multiple tasks and assignments at once./liliFlexible, available to work some holidays and weekends./liliProficient with email, Microsoft Word, and internet navigation./li/ul
