We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish) Mortgage Loan Assistant to join our team in the Mount Pleasant area. The successful candidate will work closely with senior mortgage loan officers to facilitate the sales and processing of mortgage loan packages within the scope of company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with requests, questions, and research.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and their real estate agents.
  • Work closely with originating loan officers and loan processors to verify applications for completeness, collect credit information, and follow up on underwriting conditions.
  • Coordinate closings with borrowers, sellers, title agents/attorneys, and the closing department.
  • Engage in marketing and promotional activities in support of originating loan officers, including social media and CRM systems.
  • Engage in all activities in a manner consistent with employee obligations to customers and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and state and/or federal regulatory agencies.
  • Remain current on changes to company policies and procedures affecting the processing of mortgage loan packages.
  • Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may affect real estate lending, standard loan products, and underwriting guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, required.
  • Minimum of 18 months mortgage experience, required.
  • Business/finance background, preferred.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Versed in social media channels.
  • Mortgage loan originator license is helpful. If you do not have one, we will train and prepare you for licensing exams as well as cover licensing fees.
