Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and talented co-op student to join our Fire Protection Design Team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that align with your academic and career interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and drafting of fire protection systems using CAD software.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and schematics based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and efficient designs.
  • Update and maintain CAD libraries and project documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and verify existing conditions for design accuracy.
  • Support the review and revision of project drawings and plans.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design solutions.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Drafting and Design, or a related field.
  • Experience or working knowledge in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate in small groups or as a part of a larger project team.
  • Ability to read detailed plans and blueprints.
  • Ability to work with business-related metrics.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of fire protection systems and principles.
