Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments.
  • Deliver care in line with physician directives and established care plans.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust plans to meet rehabilitation goals.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Engage in performance improvement and program development initiatives.
  • Contribute to budget planning processes to enhance service cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify educational needs of patients and their families, providing necessary guidance.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by assessing risks and implementing safety measures.
  • Utilize leadership skills to delegate and educate team members, including interns and volunteers.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts for the department and organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Possession or eligibility for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility for ASHA Clinical Fellowship.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state.
  • Valid Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
