Job Summary

The Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in crafting visual content for advertising initiatives across both print and digital platforms. This position requires a keen eye for design and a strong understanding of brand standards to ensure consistency and quality in all visual communications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develops innovative designs and layouts that align with the university's branding guidelines.
2. Stays updated on branding standards and integrates them into all projects.
3. Explores and suggests new technologies and methods to enhance project outcomes.
4. Demonstrates proficiency in all stages of print production, including design, proofing, and finishing.
5. Maintains organized electronic files for all design projects.
6. Provides photography assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
Three (3) years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications:
An undergraduate or advanced degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in higher education settings is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Abilities:
Ability to effectively convey messages through various visual mediums, including advertising materials and promotional items.
Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of graphic design software and systems.
Familiarity with different media types and their specific requirements for achieving marketing objectives.
Understanding of proofing processes and print quality standards.

Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
Attention to detail and strong follow-up capabilities.
