Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Application Architect oversees significant projects that involve delivering professional support services and/or the integration, implementation, and transition of extensive, intricate systems. The individual will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing e-government solutions, ensuring accountability for the technical design and implementation of the architecture;
  • Creating, developing, and sustaining infrastructure and backend applications;
  • Providing insights on the role of broadband and wireless applications;
  • Defining current State architecture blueprints;
  • Offering expertise with web servers, gateways, application servers, and content management systems;
  • Demonstrating experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions;
  • Researching emerging technologies and products for their relevance to business processes;
  • Evaluating various solutions and determining the most appropriate options;
  • Ensuring that development initiatives are well-organized and adhere to established standards.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. (A Master's degree is preferred.)
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems.
  • Experience as a lead architect in a major IT applications implementation project.
  • A strong foundation in software engineering principles and methodologies.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in designing medium to large-scale sites, managing a minimum of five Internet projects.
