Job Title: Senior Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our team at The Fountain Group. As a key member of our Quality Assurance Department, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our microbiology team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor junior analysts in microbiology studies and testing
  • Develop and execute validation protocols for microbiology-related equipment and processes
  • Conduct and review microbiology testing, including bioburden, membrane filtration, and sterility isolator testing
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP standards, safety regulations, and company SOPs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve microbiology-related issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and validation reports
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Microbiology or related field with 6-10 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of microbiology laboratory techniques, including bacteria, yeast, and mold
  • Experience with validation testing, including writing, executing, and reporting validation studies
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical device manufacturing
  • Experience with deviation/CAPA enterprise systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, kneel, reach, and stretch, and to stand for at least 4 hours.
