Job Title: Senior Microbiologist/Laboratory Technician III

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiologist/Laboratory Technician III to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Ridgefield, NJ (onsite).

Job Summary:

The Senior Microbiologist/Laboratory Technician III will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the Microbiology Laboratory and microbiology studies. This role will involve reviewing, authoring, and executing Micro-validation studies, mentoring and educating junior analysts on lab operations and testing, and providing direction and completing high-level projects for the Micro team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Microbiology Laboratory and microbiology studies.
  • Review, author, and execute Micro-validation studies.
  • Mentor and educate junior analysts on lab operations and testing.
  • Provide direction and complete high-level projects for the Micro team.
  • Conduct product testing, release EM monitoring, data review, and validation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Microbiology/Biology with 6-10 years of experience.
  • Thorough understanding of validation testing, including writing, executing, and reporting validation studies.
  • Practical experience in general microbiology laboratory techniques, working with bacteria, yeast, and mold.
  • Prior experience with writing protocols, data review, authoring SOPs, change controls, out-of-specification investigations, and report writing.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs in pharmaceuticals/biological/aseptic/medical device manufacturing.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel and between departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Make sound judgments from data.
  • Strong communicator.
  • Works independently.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred experience with a deviation/CAPA enterprise system.
