Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Product Manager, your essential duties will include:
  • Defining, planning, and prioritizing features for System Management software and Open Source on Compute, Storage, and Networking products.
  • Cultivating and strengthening relationships with Enterprise customers through technical presentations.
  • Driving the development of features related to System Management and its associated firmware and software.
  • Collaborating with peer Software and Hardware Product Management teams, designers, and other development teams to shape our product strategy for remote management.
  • Coordinating across various Hardware, Firmware, and Software departments to identify and resolve technical challenges.
  • Establishing and managing schedules for activities, milestones, and deliverables for our products.
  • Monitoring progress within the group's responsibilities for the feature area.
  • Partnering with Sales and Marketing to create and sustain a customer/partner product promotion program.
  • Engaging with third-party developers, partners, and customers to foster Software development, acting as the primary liaison.
  • Performing additional tasks as required within the business.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • At least 8 years of experience in computer firmware and software development or management, or a similar technical role.
  • Proven experience in managing support inquiries related to Workload Management.
  • Strong technical understanding of software related to hardware security and industry-standard management specifications.
  • Experience in developing software processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage teams of peers across functional teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and timelines effectively, ensuring comprehensive support and completion of all project components.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort in architecting solutions alongside experts from Tier 1 organizations globally.
  • An asset if you can contribute to and collaborate with industry standards bodies such as DMTF and influence decisions on behalf of Supermicro.
  • A proactive approach to identifying potential risks, issues, and bottlenecks.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $210,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including location, experience, education, and skills, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates may also be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
