Job Overview

Position Summary: The Residential Solar Solutions Consultant plays a crucial role in acquiring residential clients for OnSite Energy Inc. This position involves generating and managing sales leads, conducting site evaluations, engaging with clients, and customizing solar system designs during the initial stages of the sales process. The consultant is responsible for crafting high-quality project proposals, articulating the solar value proposition, and overseeing the contracting process with clients during the finalization phase. Providing exceptional customer service and coordinating project logistics between clients and the sales and project management teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Report directly to the Senior Sales Manager.
  • Input and manage new sales leads in the company’s lead-tracking system.
  • Generate leads through proactive door-to-door sales efforts.
  • Contact leads promptly to conduct initial phone surveys and follow up via email.
  • Assess leads by analyzing satellite images, utility data, and submitted photographs.
  • Create system designs and proposals based on satellite imagery or after conducting in-person site assessments.
  • Schedule additional site visits to finalize the build plan and convert estimates into formal contract quotes.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with clients to discuss proposals and address any inquiries.
  • Facilitate contract execution and manage client payments for down payment invoices.

Project Coordination

  • Communicate new sales to the Project Management team and introduce clients to their Project Manager.
  • Organize digital sales documentation, input project details into the CRM, and review with the Project Manager.
  • Occasionally serve as a liaison among clients, Project Managers, and installation teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide system walkthroughs, tutorials, and final invoices to clients to conclude projects effectively.
  • Support efficient inventory management and materials procurement through transparent sales pipeline processes.

Marketing Support

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the company’s marketing strategies.
  • Participate in local and regional events to network and establish connections aimed at lead generation.

Administrative Duties

  • Track and analyze sales metrics using CRM software and collaborate with supervisors in departmental decision-making.
  • Note: Physical capabilities may be required for tasks involving prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for job functions.

Location: Hybrid work environment with a combination of office responsibilities and field sales activities.

Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred experience of six months to two years in sales, ideally with a focus on solar sales.

Employment Type: Full-time with a base salary of $50,000 plus commission and a comprehensive benefits package.
