Job Overview

At AAA Fire Protection Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing Fire Alarm and Fire Alarm Monitoring systems and devices for our current and new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled fire alarm and fire alarm monitoring install/upgrade and service work, as well as specialty testing, in accordance with current manufacturers' recommendations and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Provide technical support to other division technicians as needed.
  • Offer clear education and guidance to customers regarding services and systems, in accordance with Company expectations.
  • Conduct site surveys to educate customers on timing, delivery, and operational impact of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure proper working order of company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Develop a general knowledge of all AAA service capabilities, warranties, product usages, and challenges to further educate and serve external customers.
  • Record time, request time off, and other information in the company-provided time and attendance/human resources software.
  • Maintain all job and customer-related notes, deficiencies, and compliance test reports in company-provided software.
  • Comply with and enforce safety requirements while on company property and at customer sites, and notify direct supervisors of any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions or unsafe working conditions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Exhibit attention to detail with high standards for accuracy and follow-through.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hold and maintain applicable distributor manufacturer and jurisdictional licenses and certifications to deliver work, including NICET Fire Alarm II, Seattle FA-1, and WA 06 Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Ability to work overtime and outside standard business hours and weekends as needed to accommodate customer needs.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.
