Position Overview: As a Senior Underwriter specializing in Contract Surety, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and managing risk associated with surety bonds. This position requires a keen understanding of underwriting principles and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk Evaluation: Assess low to moderately complex risks for selection or rejection, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Maintain exceptional customer service while analyzing submissions and determining policy terms.
- Pricing Strategy: Price business in accordance with established company guidelines and market standards.
- Investigative Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations of new and existing accounts, utilizing various resources to assess risk quality.
- Data Management: Enter and monitor accounts using underwriting systems, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Relationship Building: Develop and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster profitable business opportunities.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in underwriting is essential. Progress towards certification in the field is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits:Salary Range: Competitive salary between $100,000 and $175,000.
