This role involves leveraging metallurgical expertise in product innovation, enhancing processes, optimizing practices, and resolving issues. The primary challenge is to identify and implement process enhancements that mitigate problems, boost efficiency, and minimize variability. When necessary, this position will devise solutions for metallurgical challenges of moderate complexity and oversee their implementation in a cost-effective, timely, and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance product quality and address customer and internal quality issues.
  • Deepen metallurgical understanding of operational processes.
  • Establish metallurgical practices and/or protocols that yield process efficiencies.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of intricate process challenges.
  • Familiarize with the location's standards, procedures, and technologies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, or Engineering with 3-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in the metals or aluminum sector and familiarity with Quality Systems.
  • Experience in Project Management, Electronic Communication, and Statistical Methods.
  • Knowledge in Engineering, Mechanical Metallurgy, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Metals Solidification Theory.
  • Proficiency in Calculations, Physical Metallurgy, Thermodynamics, and Material Processing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
