CAREERXCHANGE, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Conflicts Attorney / Conflicts Analyst to join the Intake Department. Position Summary:

The Conflicts Attorney / Conflicts Analyst will work closely with attorneys and the Conflicts & Intake department to review new business submissions, identify potential conflicts, and resolve issues in accordance with General Counsel policies. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all legal and business risks are addressed efficiently and effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of conflicts checks, evaluating clarity on parties, positions, and identifying potential issues, including GC business, risk policy issues, and pending lateral matters.
  • Communicate with lateral attorney candidates to gather complete client and related party information to distinguish between portable and non-portable business.
  • Administer the conflicts review process and resolve potential conflicts according to firm policies.
  • Perform data analysis and research using various electronic databases.
  • Document processes, maintain records of conflicts-related information, and track responses and relevant data from attorney communications.
  • Present clear summaries of potential conflict situations and institutional knowledge discovered during the review process to attorneys.
  • Escalate unresolved conflicts and ethical issues to the requesting attorney for resolution.
  • Provide additional support to the department as needed, and take on other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • Advanced graduate degree or JD preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in a legal environment as a Paralegal, Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Researcher, or in a comparable role involving legal research or business analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and other Windows-based software.
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
