Our transit market sector leader plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to drive growth and success in the Central Region. This position requires a proven track record of leadership in transit engineering and planning services, with a strong focus on client relationships, staff development, and program management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering, with a majority of that experience within the market sector.

Responsibilities of the transit market sector leader include partnering with regional management and the global transit market sector director to develop and execute market strategies. This involves market opportunity assessment, client management, technical and marketing team coordination, staff growth and development, program and project management, and improvement of technical competencies of market sector staff to meet client needs and market drivers. Additional duties include strategic project and program leadership, strategic planning and program growth, and global transit market sector program growth.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an engineering, planning, or related field, and maintain engineering registration if an engineer. They will also have experience in developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services, as well as developing and managing a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to work cooperatively with market sector directors, business class directors, regional business group directors, area business group managers, area marketing managers, and area managers.

The typical starting pay range for this position is $162,205 to $210,430 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
